A stimulating balance of professional, social, spousal and cultural activities under the leadership of Dr. László Tabár and professional tour guides.
This course is organized every second year and most probably the last course will be organized in June 2010. The schedule for the course in 2010 is not yet available, however, it will be very similar to the schedule for the course held in 2008, which is available here (click here)
During the course the physicians will:
- Visit comprehensive breast centers in Sweden and Norway.
- Become familiar with the organization and practice of large volume mammographic screening.
- Review the diagnostic work-up of screen-detected lesions.
- Screen a large volume of mammograms of asymptomatic women.
- Participate in mammographic - pathologic workshops.
- Attend tumor board meetings.
- Meet an talk with all the team members on their own turf.
- The number of attendees is limited to 33 physicians and their spouses/guests.
- A pre-requisite of this course is attendance at the Advanced Diagnostic Course.
Spouses / guests and physicians will also enjoy:
- Stockholm city tours with a professional guide, including a visit at the Royal Palace, the Wasa Ship, the Milles Garden, Art Museum, etc.
- Guided tour of the Stockholm City Hall - site of the Nobel fest.
- Guided tours in Falun and Dalarna County, including visits to the homes of the famous artists Carl Larsson and Anders Zorn.
- Midsummer night celebrations.
